There's such a rift in the perception of "older people" online. Depending on who you're talking to, opinions range from "Boomers haven't engaged social media" to "Boomer activity is exploding on the Internet."
I'm of the latter opinion. It's only going to become more obvious. I think one perceptual problem is the idea that Boomers are too old to learn technology. For starters, people, Boomers range in age now from about 45 to about 63. In case you didn't know, 45 is the new 20. Or thereabouts.
So today I want to tell you about a new site which offers not only a great service for Boomers on the web, but a rich view into the range of cultures Boomers occupy. Keep listening, because one thing is sure: It will continue to change.
The Baby Boomer Knowledge Center is a new site providing easy access to a wealth of information relevant to the boomer demographic. It includes the “Knowledge [ba2se],” a custom search engine which prioritizes search results based on sites relevant to baby boomers. For anyone who has searched for information without such a filter, this can save you a lot of time and frustration.
See you on the playground!
