 Millions-o-moms

In the interest of bridging the generation gaps, you Boomers who are enjoying grandparenting might want to see what’s going on in the mom realms online. Mom-blogging is a massive industry now, and rightly so. See the Problogger article for more understanding about why mom blogs are so popular  -- and so necessary.

Funny, on the adorable side, personally informative:
The Mommy Blog, Adventures from the Wonderbelly of Motherhood

A viewpoint from the business of blogging on Problogger:
Five reasons why mom blogs are the blogs to watch

In case you moms are feeling like things are just a bit much, here’s a “mommycast” on – gasp –
quintuplets:
Meet the Wilkinson Quints

This one is forum-based, with a number of categories to choose from:
The GoMom Site

I’ll diverge from the mom sites to show you this one on Grandparenting. A simple site that lists articles and links you directly to the content.
Grandtimes

This one qualifies as a mom blog, although it is also for grandparents – raising their grandkids.
Grandparents raising grandkids.

And the last one is a great site for healthy kid consumer choices. Alternatives are backed up with links to studies, there is a Natural Parents Guide, and they have a forum.
Healthy Child

(If you’re following these links, you can readily see the differences between sites created by 20 and 30 somethings and those created by “pre-computer-ites.” In case that interests you.)

A side note on technology and Jack’s Times – Today we got to see Jack in mom's arms, on Skype – through mom’s webcam. It was a rush seeing mom and baby so clearly, through the wires and the miles. Just think. To Jack one day soon, that technology will be quaint. What on earth will replace it?
