It wasn't all that long ago I wrote about Rep. Michelle Bachmann ( R-Mn.) talking about Americans needing to be "armed and dangerous" and how this could be misinterpreted by some as approval of violent acting out.  Limbaugh and Hannity and others on talk radio  have also made comments that could be interpreted as supporting violent behavior because you don't like someone else's ideas beliefs and opinions.  There is no place for this in America.

I have more than a passing acquaintence with Right Wing violence having grown up in the South with segregation. Like many Americans I watched in shock as even the police attacked people for peacefully demanding the full rights of citizenship in this nation.  There was nothing even remotely acceptable about turning firehoses and police dogs loose on children and peaceful demonstrators.  There was nothing remotely acceptable about killing those who sought to register Americans to vote.  You used Bible Scripture then to support those activities just as you use it to support homocide now.

When you fast forward to today, yesterday's Klansmen are todays Army of God, Operation Rescue, Liberty Lobby or the Creativity Movement ( formerly World church of the Creator ).

The lap dog pathetic mainstream media goes after Rev. Jeremiah Wright every time he opens his mouth, some of it with justification because of the bigoted stupid things he says.  But you have to wonder whether there is now a Right Wing media bias when they completely ignore the Rev. Wiley Drake praying for President Obama's death.

On Fox News Radio June 2, 2009,  Rev. Drake opined he didn't understand why everyone was upset by his comments.  After all he said on the air. " this wasn't his idea it was Gods and if people were upset they needed to talk to God. "  Of course this religious fruitcake also prayed for Dr. Tiller's death because God wished that as well.

Now Operation Resecue wants to buy the building Dr. Tiller's clinic was in to use as a national headquarters.  I find that completely disgusting to use this building as a trophy of their movements criminal success.

As reported on MSNBC violence against clinics and against all employee's at clinics all across this country that are providing reproductive services has escalated in the wake of Dr. Tiller's murder. This includes death threats, threats of property destruction and physical harm, all of which are violations of Federal law.

Ronald Reagan, who will forever be at the bottom of my list of presidents for his acts as president of the Screen Actors Guild in turning over to Joseph Mccarthy all his fellow actors he felt weren't " real Americans," once also opined that he would consider a presidential pardon for people convicted of violence against clinics providing reproductive services or the providers of those services. ( that is from an editorial by Dr. William F. Harrison a colleague of Dr. Tiller's ) Imagine the justified howl of protest if a Democrat had suggested he would pardon anyone guily of anti-war violence back in the 1960's.

Newt Gingrich recently backed off calling Sonia Sotomayer a racist but then used the term racialist which I have only seen used on Neo-Nazi sites like Stormfront.  Is Newt using this term as a code that he secretly supports this type of thinking?

When I was a teenager Southern Democrats, who were supporters of segregation, all left the Democratic Party because of Lyndon Johnson's support of The Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts.  These were men like Strom Thurmomd and Jesse Helms so the Republican Party's claim to accepting civil rights has consistently been contradicted by their behavior such as the infamous Willie Horton ad. There is no Republican who can honestly claim ignorence of some of the extremist views they would seem to at least verbally support.  I can find out about what the Right Wing zealots are saying on the web in a half hour.

The Army of God website calls Scott Roeder a hero.  Also listed on this site are other killer's for Christ, as if Jesus would find any of this remorely acceptable, like Paul Hill, Eric Rudolph, James Kopp and others. In one section on this site one Shelley Shannon wrote a segement called Toward the use of Force.  She states, God wanted me to use force, and now I feel obligated to do so.  I heard about the use of force in church sermons, in my personal devotional time alone with God, and from the most Godly Christians I knew." ( She was convicted and served time for attempted murder according to her website)

A defensive action statement endorsed by many leaders of the Right to Life movement states:

We, the undersigned declare the justice of taking all Godly action necessary to defend innocent human life including the use of force.  We proclaim to support  whatever force is legitimate to defend the life of an unborn child. We assert that if Michael Griffin did in fact kill David Gunn his use of lethal force was justifiable provided it was carried out for the purpose of defending the lives of unborn children.  Therefore he ought to be acquitted of all charges against him.  Of course there is no recognition of the inherent contrdiction of killing in the name of life.

This belief in self righteous homocide was completely wrong when it was the Left in the 1960's and is no less criminal today. It is way past time for all of us to stand up to the Right and The Republican Party if they refuse to repudiate these behaviors.

As I have said before, we have Free speech in this nation and I wouldn't constrain it in any way, however that doesn't mean we have to just accept it.  It is time to hold Hannity, Limbaugh and all the Right wing blowhards accountable the only way any of those hypocrites understand,  in the wallet.  We can refuse to buy the products of any company that advertises on Fox or Limbaugh.

We can expose these Born again Bigots masquerading as Christians just as was done to Rev. Wright.  Expose them every time they open their mouths.

Attempts to intimidate me only make me madder not more timid and with the escalation in violence, most recently the shooting at the Holocaust Mueseum, I am beyond anger now.  When we just talk about and tolerate this behavior going really unchallenged, a little more of Lady Liberty's beacon for the world goes dim. We look more and more like the nations we once sought to impose Democracy on like Iraq, and less like the greatest nation in history.

To all you Right Wingers, remember when you used to tell Liberals, America love it or leave it, if you really hate America so much as it sounds like you do on your web blogs well don't let the door hit you in the posterior on your way out. I hear the Taliban is seeking recruits, And turn off the lights before you leave we are trying to conserve energy.
