Free?  Mostly.  Unless you want a serious button.

If you're short on cash (and who isn't these days?), then Plenty Of Fish may be the online dating site for you.  Up until recently, it was 100% free.  Click the link and find out about the upgrade you can purchase:  a Serious Button.  Seriously!

The interface is not terribly pretty (or user-friendly), but beggers can't be choosers.  It can get the job done if you're willing to work with it.

Let's take a look at some Plenty Of Fish factoids:

  • The largest age group is 18-29 (31%), followed by 30-40 (28%), 41-50 (24%), and 51+ (17%).
  • It's skewed only a tiny bit toward having more males (56% male members).
  • Looking for the educated or wealthy?  You'll have a hard time finding them here.  41% of members make less than $35k a year and nearly half didn't finish college.  (Or haven't yet!)
  • 69% of PlentyOfFish members do not have children.

For more info: Check the Quantast data page and POF's advertising page, where you learn that they let advertisers target members who drink heavily.  (I seriously wish that was a joke.)
