If you also are enjoying the new layout of this column and all of the effort Examiner.com has put forth to make the site more navigable and easy to use, keep reading.
To further celebrate the beauty of the new software, I am currently cleaning up the excessive links and am organizing this column into the sleek, trimlined base of knowledge that resembles most low-carbers' figures.
The following changes should save readers precious time, and make this into a truly evergreen resource for people looking for viable and alternative information to mainstream weight loss that readers will not only return to, but will pass along to friends as well.
Categories
The categories under the profile (next to "More Articles") and under the profile picture will now only contain a handful of categories for quicker searches. Whereas at one time one would find 50 various topic categories, these have been culled to roughly 10 important sub-topics to save time:
activism -- to make your voices as consumers heard
family -- tips for kids, recipes and fun
menus -- for holidays and special occasions
random-- more fun-filled than factual, and a deviation
recipes --the mainstay of my columns
restaurants -- places to consider visiting
reviews -- cook books, restaurants and products
staples --foods which are bases to other recipes and serve multiple purposes
tips -- to stick to plan and to save money
tools of the trade -- appliances and items of use in the kitchen
Improved Links Section
The links section is changing in the near future to be more clean, clear and organized as well. (No more scrolling down a lengthy page of recipes).
Recipes will be organized in various categories, all of which will be easier to locate for various purposes. Whereas in the past, pizza was located under only "Main Dishes", now the same pizza recipe may appear in three or more categories, depending upon how the reader tends to categorize. This will lend a living cook book feel to the site, as opposed to a 'list of recipes'.
