America Recycles Day - Get Involved and Make a Difference!

November 15th is America Recycles Day (ARD). The nationwide initiative, by the National Recycling Coalition (NRC) and Keep America Beautiful (KAB), promotes the positive impact recycling has on the economy and environment across America.

For 12 years, ARD is the only officially recognized American "holiday" specifically devoted to encouraging Americans to recycle items and to purchase recycled products. Many educational and informative events take place around the country on ARD.
 

Get Involved in America Recycles Day:
 

• Take the ARD 2009 Pledge -  Sign up, it's easy!  You'll receive some free downloads and regular ARD updates too!
• Start a recycling drive in your neighborhood or community.
• Visit a recycling plant.
• Host an ARD event
• ARD Freebies - Download these free bookmarks, postcards, activity books, flyers and email templates and spread the word.
• Florida Recycles Day - Besides the state-wide events  the 6th Annual Florida Schools Recycling Pledge Card Contest is also underway. Find out how your school can participate.
• Oklahoma Recycles Day
