We'll do it our way, yes, our way

So I went to the
San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus concert on Friday night. The program was called "Making Our Dreams Come True," and it opened with that number from
"Laverne & Shirley." You know how it goes:
On your mark, get set and go now,
Got a dream and we just know now,
We're gonna make our dreams come true.
As Conductor Kathleen McGuire pointed out, "Tonight we feel that's more true than ever"—the first of many nods to
Thursday's ruling by the California Supreme Court, and the first of many indications that this particular concert would be just a wee bit
treacly. (During the second half of the show, someone actually uttered the phrase "Our similarities are more important than our differences," at which point I threw up in my mouth just a little bit.)
Aside from the world premiere of Ilyas Iliya's extraordinary and haunting "Safeer el-Layl (Ambassador of the Night)"—billed as the first time a gay chorus has performed a song entirely in Arabic—the program was a series of pretty lackluster numbers punctuated by a lot of pleading for more dough. (Note to SFGMC: it might be best to let the performance speak for itself, rather than expect audiences to pay for the opportunity to be asked incessantly for cash. Just sayin'.)
Now, I tend to think it's a bad sign when I start finding the printed program more interesting than the performance. But oh, this program was a gem. For instance, here's what you see when you turn the first page (apologies for the sub-par scan):

OK, I'm glad that
Gloss sees fit to advertise so prominently in SFGMC's program. But with this particular ad, the only thing Making Our Dreams Come True happens to be Photoshop. (I'm not sure that you can tell from the reproduction here, but the guy's jockstrap appears to be stuffed with half the contents of his sock drawer.)
And that's not all! This might just be my favorite. Ad. EVER:

That's right: you too can Make Your Dreams Come True at
Eros! Assuming, of course, that your dreams smell like poppers and desperation.
