Billy Mays, the king of infomercials, was found dead in his Tampa, Fla., home this morning, topping off a strange few days of surprise celebrity deaths. Mays died at the age of 50 and is survived by his wife.

The cause of death is unknown, however, the night before his death Mays was on a US Airways flight. The flight had a rough landing and blew out a tire. That night, Mays told a Tampa TV news station that he had been hit on the head by items falling from the overhead cabins. It is unknown if Mays died of a head injury; an autopsy is expected some time Monday afternoon.

Mays was best known for hocking Denver-based Orange Glo products, including Oxi-Clean, Orange Clean, Orange Glo and Kaboom! He also starred on a Discovery Channel program called "Pitchman."
