Some of the most well-known musicians in the world are descending upon Denver this week – and early reports say that J. Lo is already in LoDo (ok, not in LoDo, but it made a good rhyme. J. Lo has been spotted in Denver though).
Monday:
Fall Out Boys, N*E*R*D and Jakob Dylan will play at the Rock the Vote event at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House (950 13th St, Denver) from 10-12pm.
Tuesday:
Chris Daughtry is headlining a private fundraiser for the Grammy Foundation at the Church nightclub (1160 Lincoln Street, Denver). Everclear and the Flobots will also be playing alongside Daughtry. Sorry kids, the event is invite-only.
Melissa Etheridge, Cyndi Lauper and others will perform at the Rock to Win concert at the Fillmore Auditorium. This concert is being presented by The Human Rights Campaign, a GLBT civil rights organization.
Wednesday:
Kanye West’s party, which is sponsored by the Recording Industry Association of America and Bono’s “One” antipoverty campaign, will be rocking at the Exdo Event Center (1399 35th St, Denver).
The Black Eyed Peas will headline the gala at the Fillmore Auditorium (1510 Clarkson Street). The party is being hosted by the Creative Coalition.
The reunited Rage Against the Machine, with opening act the Flobots, will host a free show at the Denver Coliseum (4600 Humboldt St, Denver). This is being hosted by an anti-war and anti-Bush group called World Can’t Wait.
