The Denver Post has the full scoop - but today John Elway and John Lynch came out to show their support for the GOP and its struggling candidate, John McCain.

The Post says a roaring crowd of 4,000+ supporters came out to see Elway - err - McCain today.

In a cheesy coach-like peptalk to McCain, Elway said, "It's the fourth quarter ... and I know a thing or two about comebacks."

No question that Elway was able to get butts in seats at the rally - but will he move the needle to help J-Mac with a comeback in the presidential race? We'll know in a few weeks...
