Traditional Tofurky dinner // Courtesy Seattle Times

Expensive plane tickets and maddening airport lines got you staying in Seattle this Thanksgiving?  Are you relatively new in town and worried you're trading in that traditional New England Thanksgiving dinner with family for Tofurky and watching the Peanuts Thanksgiving special alone?

Well, fear not.  I know, it's easy for me to say - I'm lucky enough to be going back to New Jersey for Thanksgiving (insert joke here).  But if you're not the cook at home type, this could be your chance to (*gasp*) eat out on Thanksgiving.

It might sound sacrilegious, but for one thing, there's always Chinese take-out or an Indian buffet.  But if you've got visions of turkey and stuffing, there are several cozy restaurants in Seattle serving up feasts in a wide price range.  So call up a friend or two, and give thanks to the cooks and servers working at these spots on the most gluttonous holiday of the year.  Call in advance for menu/pricing details and make reservations - it's a busy day!

Andaluca - Order off of the standard Mediterranean menu or indulge in the four-course Thanksgiving dinner, served from 3-9pm.

Barking Frog - Let's face it - you have a lot to be thankful for if you dine at this high-end eatery at Woodinville's Willows Lodge.

Carmelita - You won't go hungry at this four-course vegan and vegetarian feast, served from 3-8pm on Thanksgiving.

Cutters Bayhouse - While they do serve a traditional turkey dinner, you might want to give thanks you live in a city with such amazing seafood.

Masala of India - This is my idea of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner: tandoori turkey, cooked to perfection.  Just like home.

13 Coins - I've got a soft spot for diners.  This one offers a great Thanksgiving deal, and there's one near SeaTac if you're picking up visitors anyway...

If none of these have your mouth watering, call up your favorite spots and ask if they're serving Thanksgiving dinner.  Also, be sure to check out hotel restaurants - they tend to be pretty experienced in serving holiday meals.  Happy Thanksgiving!
