Ali's return to the club available now via Beatport.

If you need a ride to the hospital, Nadia Ali might not be the person to call. Sure, she's compassionate, but she certainly takes her time. It was a full five years between her breakthrough single (2001's "Rapture", as the singer for iiO) and iiO's debut album. In fact, the duo had already called it quits by the time (2006's excellent Poetica) had dropped. And while that's speedy when compared to Axl Rose, it was an eternity for those waiting to hear that voice in the club again. Now, more than three years after leaving to go solo, clubbers can welcome back Ali's long-missed presence.

If you frequented dance floors anytime around 2001/02, then you know that it's hard to overstate how enormous "Rapture" was. Every house and trance DJ in the Western hemisphere seemed to have it in their bag, and many a magical night was concluded with it pumping through the speakers. A precious few equally sultry hits followed until 2005, but hopefully this release signals not only her return to club land, but that she'll also be sticking around for awhile. The track itself (sample The Starkillers edit here as free download) features some slippery house production and Ali's sexy, anthemic vocal delivery...the kind that will bounce around in your head hours after you've left the party. In addition to the Starkillers, the Beatport package features remixes from Andy Moor and the song's producers Sultan & Ned Shepard, with more remixes from The Scumfrog and others said to be on the way. The track has already garnered some well-deserved attention from Armin Van Buuren, and was record of the week on Above & Beyond's "Trance Around The World."

Welcome back, Nadia. Never leave us again.
