
Two hard rocking national acts have announced concerts in Billings, including Slipknot on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at Rimrock Auto Arena and Insane Clown Posse on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Shrine Auditorium.
Slipknot, a nine-piece nu-metal group from Des Moines, Iowa, will perform with Anthrax and the Black Dahlia Murder.
Besides being Grammy winners, Slipknot has gained recognition in their 14-year musical career for gruesome costumes; each member of the band performs in a garish looking mask.
The band released “All Hope is Gone” in 2008, the group’s fourth studio album.
Insane Clown Posse, a cartoonish metal/rap band known for their unconventional live performances, will perform Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Shrine Auditorium.
The Wayne, Michigan rap-metal duo of Violent J (a.k.a. Joe Bruce) and Shaggy 2 Dope (a.k.a. Joey Utsler) have gained fame for performances that feature open fires, chain saws, liters of soda dousing the audience, as well as outlandish makeup and garb.
