Waiter takes order at Brasserie Balzar in Paris
Waiter at Brasserie Balzar in Paris

Before your next trip to Paris, take the time to be introduced to charming restaurants, interesting brasseries, great bistros, exciting wine bars, and the amazing Wine Museum. Francophile sommelier Dieter Schafer lived in Paris for five years and visits the French capital annually; he also teaches at South Seattle Community College, and he's got a class coming up to help you decide where to go for lunch, dinner or a wine tasting.

You'll also learn how to reserve a table, what to order (food and wine) how, to pay and save. The course includes bites and sips, as you taste what Parisians drink: aperitifs, wines and champagne. All this for $51.

For more info: The class is on Saturday, July 11th, from noon to 3. To register, call 206-764-5339 or click on www.LearnatSouth.org.
