for my friends in colorado, they'd tell me of this mythical beer that you could once only get in the Rocky Mountains. It was called "Fat Tire," and brewed by a company in Ft. Collins, Colorado, called New Belgium. Every time I'd visit I tried it with them — who guzzled it by the gallon — but never quite understood the mystique they found in its hoppy suds.

For Stile, it was all about the lagers. Until now.

No, for Stile E., it was all about the lagers: Sam Adam, Harp, Carlsberg. Maybe the occasional Guinness (because really, why not?). And then Stile was conned into trying a new beer from New Belgium a few years ago: Skinny Dip

Claiming to be low in calories and light for the heat of the summer, Skinny Dip appeared in small batches dotting the country at select few stores. Of course my lads in Colorado had it aplenty, and I was hooked on skinny dipping.

It made my list last year, and it does this year. I imagine it will until they stop producing the stuff. Light, airy, yet remarkably thirst-quenching and enjoyable, Mrs. Coyote and I look for it each June and lament its demise each autumn because if it's balance and crisp taste.

Calories: 108/12 oz.
Eat with: Anything on the grill, fish, or light summer salads

Rules of drinking: Never alone; never when driving; never anything with the word 'pink' in it, not with a woman who can bench press more than you.
