Two hours later. My phone is still DEAD. (+2:00)
That's right. DEAD. As in, it doesn't work. At all. After first downloading the new version of iTunes, then restarting, then downloading the 2.0 software, iTunes then backed up my phone (thankfully!) and began what could only be described as my iPhone's personal Bataan Death March.
The phone is still in tact. But it looks like it did when it came out of the box: flashing "connect to iTunes" or "Slide for Emergency," presumably to call Steve Jobs if I can't get my crud together shortly.
So after replugging in the phone, being prompted to wait for a minute — or a day? — to connect to the Apple Store, I sit waiting — nausously — as iTunes is "Accessing iTunes Store."
The only saving grace? Last night's friend can't call.
UPDATE: Apparently everyone is having problems. Apple just handle the load. And that's not very stylish. Keep trying kids. Let Stile know how you manage.(+4:13)
UPDATE: I finally got through, and iTunes activated my phone, restored my settings and Stile's live again. Ladies, you know what to do. (+5:45)
