Terps vs. Spartans on TV

July 30, 3:38 PM

While the full schedule still hasn’t been revealed, the Terps basketball office announced Tuesday that the team will face Michigan State at 7 p.m. on Nov. 27, as part of the 2008 Old Spice Classic. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

The Terps will face either Oklahoma State or Gonzaga in the second round. Other teams participating in the tournament are Siena, Tennessee, Wichita State and Georgetown. The tournament will take place at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla.

Michigan State went 27-9 last season, finishing #13 in both the AP and Coaches polls. Top scorer junior Raymar Morgan returns but the team’s leader and second-leading scorer, Drew Neitzel, graduated. Look for Morgan and sophomore Kalin Lucas lead a young but talented team.
