Sneak Peek at the Schedule

July 27, 8:59 AM

The official dates of the games haven't been released yet, but this piece from The News & Observer (Raleigh, N.C.) details which ACC teams Maryland will play.

Maryland

Twice: UNC, UVa, GT, Duke, Miami
Home only: BC, Wake, VT
Road only: N.C. State, FSU, Clemson

Analysis: The Terps are going to be a guard-heavy team. In theory, they'd prefer to avoid home-and-homes with the bigger teams (UNC, Miami, Clemson, Wake, GT). That didn't happen. The Terps are going to have to shoot lights-out every night to finish higher than 10th.

Obviously, playing Duke and UNC is tough, and as the News & Observer analysis suggests, the Terps will likely struggle against the bigger teams they have to play.  Clemson on the road will be a difficult matchup, too.  Everybody knows it's going to be a challenging year, but I think Gary and company might struggle to break .500.
