Sarah WIlson, bisexual, charged with "sex grooming"

A bisexual British woman, Sarah Wilson, was jailed for enticing a young girl into a sexual situation, and is thought to be the United Kingdom's first conviction of its kind.

Wilson, 21, who was unemployed, was sentenced to a 20-month term in jail for luring her 15-year-old victim over the Internet. Wilson is said to have "groomed" the girl in a chat room for sex for six months and used explicit emails, phone calls, texts and talk of sex toys.

The girl skipped school in January and met Wilson at London's King's Cross railway station.

When the girl's mother called police, they found the girl, but kept Wilson online to arrange a meeting and arrest her.

Wilson had a 39-year-old boyfriend, Peter Richardson, who was arrested, but was eventually cleared of wrongdoing. Police found children's underwear, sex toys and porn at the couple's address.

At first, Wilson denied making sexual advances, but later confessed to one count of travelling to meet a child following sexual grooming.

The Prosecutor Peter Zinner said: "It is rare for a female to be involved in grooming a child. In fact this is probably the first case of an adult female grooming a young girl."

Judge Stephen Robbins said, "This conduct was utterly shameful. You exploited her via the Internet and via text messages and sending pictures to her. . . . And what’s more this came very close to success."

Detective Sgt. Dave Gritton, of British Transport Police, said, "Undoubtedly if Wilson had managed to meet the victim and taken her to the flat, serious sexual offenses would have taken place."

COMMENTARY: Obviously, this is not another good bisexual role model, just a criminal who happens to be bisexual.
