Shopping on Etsy.com can be quite fun. Whether it's for clothes for your kids, jewelry for yourself or cute gifts for others. And it's all handmade, original and often one-of-a-kind, (read: not mass produced). You are helping local small business owners and you get a unique product.

Here are just a few Seattle Etsy picks:

Bubble Bath Dough by Red Leaf. Kids will love this stuff! Red Leaf owner Chris: "Just rub a golf ball sized portion in your hands under a running bath faucet, and your tub begins to fill with wonderful scents and lots of bubbles! After the bath, your skin stays soft even after toweling off and the scent will linger gently on your skin." The dough comes in several scents, such as: 'black tea', 'lavender', 'plumeria flower', 'fresh clover', 'orange sherbet', 'english coast', 'beach', 'oatmeal, milk and honey', 'basil lime' or unscented. Here's a  cute little girl's dress, locally made by mother of two Elise Hooper from Etsy shop Elise Hooper Designs. The dress is called: 'Let 'Em Eat Cake' and is described as: "perfect for tea parties, birthday parties and holidays". The dress comes in several different sizes (from 6 months to 6 years) and will be made to order. Price: $40.00. Elise Hooper Designs features several other cute handmade dresses, blankets and skirts. Elise: " I love dressing girls so that they look like girls in modern, yet classic clothes. And my baby blankets have taken several years of experimentation to find just the right prints, fleece, and design so that babies can snuggle up safely and comfortably. I am a mother of 2 little girls so I experience inspiration for my designs on a daily basis."

 Sandra Lee from Amy Rose Designs makes bibs, 'Wrap N Snap Car Seat Belt Covers', (which are soft pieces of fabric you snap around a seatbelt to make it more comfortable for your little backseat passengers) and 'lovey' blankets called 'Love Me Loveys' that have teething rings attached to them. All of these items are made out of hip and trendy fabrics. The bib shown in the picture is called: '2D Zoo', is reversible, larger than most bibs and made out of premium designer fabric (100% cotton). It has a neck closure with a pearl snap fastener and the bib will come wrapped in colorful tissue tied with a ribbon (gift card available upon request). Price: $10.00.
You can purchase the bibs, car seat belt covers and lovey blankets separate or as a set made out of the same coordinating fabric. This would make a perfect gift. Check the site for other cute designs.
