My beautiful wife.

“Breathless” is the word that best describes my reaction when my wife surprised me with the most beautiful, most thoughtful and most personal gift I had ever received. The gift was an album filled with professional photographs of my beautiful bride. The full collection consisted of gorgeous fall outdoor photos as well as several seductive, yet tasteful, studio boudoir photos of her in various outfits.

I will admit that I was totally speechless and became more and more emotional with each album page I turned. It truly made me feel quite special that she did this for me. She had obviously gone to a lot of effort to make it happen and keep it all a secret for my birthday.

A few months prior to my birthday I had mentioned to my wife that I wished I had more photos of her. In addition to capturing her beauty for my own memories, I also wanted my wife to see the beauty that I saw in her. After all, I know that I am a lucky guy. Being one who practices what he preaches, I always tell her how great she looks or to let her know just how proud I am to have her in my life.

In addition to the photos being a very special gift for me, it also did wonders for her ego as well. She told me that she had so much fun doing them and that she had never felt more beautiful. The photographer, a male, had a female assistant which made her feel very comfortable. She noted that he was very professional and did everything possible to make her feel at ease. She still shows off the photos to close friends and has highly recommended them to do the same for their husbands.

Several studios do private boudoir photo shoots as well as boudoir photography parties where women can get together with friends and have a photo session in a place of their choice. Most photographers will ask you to bring several of your lover’s favorite fantasy outfits to make the photos even more special for the intended recipient. Some photographers and studios even allow partial to full nudity but to go that far is strictly up to you. Never allow yourself to be pressured into doing something you are not comfortable with.

If you are interested in doing a boudoir photography shoot, I suggest calling around to several professional studios in your area for availability, options and pricing. I also suggest that you request to see a portfolio of his/her similar work. It is also recommended that you bring along a female friend to the photography session for your own comfort and protection. The more comfortable you feel and the more fun you have, the better the photos will be.
