Rice krispies recipe
A loaf of Halloween Rice Krispies treats

Snap, crackle, and scare this Halloween with Rice Krispies treats. Kellogg’s usually brings up images of kids in slippers and moms in robes pouring milk in bowls of crackling rice. My recipe changes the rice cereal into a festive dessert that the boys and ghouls will love!

Chef Ruff’s Snap Crackle and Scare Rice Krispies Recipe:

4 tbs butter
4 cups marshmallows
1/2 box of Rice Krispies cereal
M&Ms (12 oz bag plain or peanut)
1 tbs orange food coloring

Stir 4 Tbs butter in deep saucepan. Add in 4 cups marshmallows. Stir on medium heat until marshmallows are melted. Add in Rice Krispies when marshmallows melt and 1 tbs. orange food coloring. Stir in a bag of peanut or plain mm’s and vanilla extract. Mold into greased bread loaf pans. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Cut into thick squares, enjoy!
