healthy fries
No boo-hoo fries

No boo-hooing over having to ban french fries from your diet. Here's an easy way to make french fries without frying them.

This baked french fries recipe also sneaks in some herbs and olive oil instead of butter.

No boo-hoo french fries:
1 large plastic gallon bag
4 russet potatoes
rosemary or basil
sea salt
1/4 cup olive oil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Slice potatoes in thin strips leaving skins on. Put wedges into ziploc bag. Sprinkle with herbs and salt. Pour in olive oil. Seal bag and shake until the wedges are covered with seasoning.

Place wedges on cookie sheets and bake for 15 minutes. Remove wedges and flip them to the other side. Return to oven for another 15 minutes. Repeat process of flipping wedges until fries are crispy. Serve with mustard and ketchup alongside a low fat hotdog (recipe).
