Cooking smores with your kids can be fun and easy. Have them help you on each step or have them do each step if they are old enough. The beauty of this recipe is that the items do not have to be perfectly measured, so even little kids can help.

1) Preheat oven to 35Smashing crackers0.

2) Smash up two squares of gram crackers.

3) Add 1.5 squares of graham crackers to 1.5 large spoonfuls of melted butter. If you want a larger batch then add another spoonful of butter and another square of graham crackers (as I did here).

4) After the graham crackers are smashed and mixed well, spread the graham crackers on the bottom of a baking dish.

5) On top of graham crackers, add mini chocolate chips.

6) After that, add mini marshmallows.

7) Mix the remaining half a square of graham crackers with a little melted butter and sprinkle on the top of the marshmallows.

8) Bake for 10 minutes.

Although they taste great fresh out of the oven, they are messy. Let cool and then cut into squares. They are yummy!

The blessing in cooking with kids is that it is not just about making a yummy treat, but it is spending time and sharing love with your kids. Kids love making something, feeling “big”, and enjoying a yummy treat with their parents. Take time to bake with your kids; your tummy and your heart will be warm and full after!
