Sandra Bullock hits her stride.

Sandra Bullock seems to finally be hitting her career stride.

Before this weekend, her biggest box office take for opening weekend was 17.6 million for "Premonition." Of course, it didn't hurt the movie that Ryan Reynolds was also starring. I'm not saying she got to the top because of her co-star, as she's had many great co-stars in the past. Just analyzing.

The take for "The Proposal" was over 34 million. Doubling her previous box office best.

My prediction was that if any film could take the top spot from "Hangover" it would be "Year One." Below is the other top movies this week.

Next week, Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen hits on Wednesday. The heart tugger, "My Sister's Keeper" opens Friday. Those two movies will be close to the top next weekend.
