Kate Gosselin

I received a ton of comments on my last post about Jon & Kate Plus 8.  I absolutely agree with commenters about child labor and I hope for the kids sake that Jon & Kate are setting money aside on their behalf, but at this point I'm just not convinced.  Jon & Kate have gone from nobodies who barely made $75K a year, but now they're in the public eye and making that much per episode.  Kate loves their new lifestyle and she's taking full advantage of it.

Since the show aired on TLC, Kate has had a tummy tuck, dyed her hair and gotten what she considers to be a  "signature" haircut.  She spends several weeks a month traveling for speaking engagements, promoting her book, and trying to build herself as brand.  Word on the street is that Kate is trying to cut Jon out of the all future monies to be made because she thinks she was the mastermind.  Not like I hadn't already figured that out from the way she talks to Jon like he's one of the kids.

Anyway, Kate alleges Jon is having an affair with Deanna Hummel, a 23-year-old school teacher, and Jon alleges Kate is having an affair with her bodyguard, Steve Neild.  At the end of the day, it's  not about Kate or Jon, who they cheated with, how or how many times.  It's about the kids and they both need to focus on the kids and cut the crap

As far as Pennsylvania's lack of child labor laws or reality television laws as mentioned by a commenter, if you live in Pennsylvania and you don't like what could happen to the Plus 8, I urge you to band together and encourage the state to develop a law.  After all, it takes a village to raise a child.
