Restaurants offer FREE meals for veterans and military personnel on Veterans Day
Different restaurants are offering free food to veterans and, in most cases, active-duty military personnel in observance of Veterans Day. Offers are good on Wednesday, November 11, unless other wise noted.
- Outback Steakhouse offers a free Bloomin' Onion appetizer and beverage to past and present military members.
- Krispy Kreme is giving out free doughnuts
- Applebee's is offering a free entree on Wednesday to veterans and all active-duty military from 11 a.m. to midnight. Applebee's requests some kind of military ID.
- McCormick & Schmick's is offering free entrees to veterans on Sunday, November 8. It requests military ID and highly recommends reservations.
- Golden Corral is offering free buffet meals -- including beverage and dessert -- to current military and vets on Monday, Nov. 16, from 5 to 9 p.m. No military ID is required
- Uno Chicago Grill is offering veterans a free entree or a pizza with the purchase of another entree or pizza Wednesday. Showing up in uniform, or guests who show a photo of themselves in uniform, will be enough to receive the offer.
- Domino’s Pizza is offering local VFW Halls the chance to win a catered pizza party on Wednesday. The chain invited veterans to e-mail why they deserved a catered party in 150 words or less. The top five VFW Halls with the most compelling stories will win their own party, valued at $100.
- Denny's is offering active, in-active, reserved or retired military a free Grand Slam from 6am-2pm. Valid military ID required. Only valid at participating restaurants in the Washington DC, Baltimore, Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Richmond areas.
