Mike has been cycling almost as long as he can remember. From the very first day when he grabbed that training-wheel-less Schwinn and took off, bikes have been a fundamental part of his life. He's raced mountain bikes, road bikes and even done a bit of touring. Mike has explored the roads and trails of the Front Range for the last 14 years.

Grassroots Colorado organizations keep you cycling safely

Its always a good time to talk about cycling safety and trail access. Yes, I know those are two separate issues but whether its a big semi-trailer bearing down on you or a "no bikes" sign blocking your favorite trail head; cyclists rights are getting the squeeze almost daily. Thanks to living a pro-advocacy state, we have several organizations fighting the good fight for us. Bicycle Colorado is one of my favorites. They address transportation concerns and cycling access all across the state and sponsor cycling events as well. I know, I'm asking you to go check out the sites of organizations that just want our money. True, but Bicycle Colorado really does quite alot for cyclists whether they know it or not And one of the coolest ways they've come up with to raise money is the Share The Road license plate!
Show you support Colorado cycling!
Here's a list of sites to explore that fight to keep bikes on the roads and trails in your town.
