Soon Manny will be back clapping for himself in LA.

The World Wide Leader in Sports is all over the start of Manny Ramirez' tune-up games for the AAA Albuquerque Isotopes. ESPN News will go live to each one of Manny's at-bats today.

Set your DVRs. First pitch is at 6 p.m. today Pacfic Time.

It will be funny to see if ESPN keeps this up every single game and every single at bat until his expected return from a 50-game suspension for steroids on July 3. One can understand the excitment of Isotopes fans, who rarely see a star of Manny's stature unless he's rehabbing an injury.

Ramirez, of course, is not injured — so he should play well. And he has become something of a side-show, even if he only takes a couple of ABs a game. Readers in the Inland Empire, you'd better get ready. Word is that Manny will also get some ABs (glorified batting practice) with the club's California League Single-A club, the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernadino while finishing his suspension.
