A story in the Bakersfield Californian tells the story of an 16-month-old German Shepherd that mistakedly chases another dog instead of a suspect. Unfortunately events took a turn for the worse and the suspect had to be shot. But, the police say it is "speculation" to say whether the suspect would have had to be shot if the dog had done his job properly.

Konan, the German Shepherd was trained less than a month, and will be sent back for more training.
