AirTran Airways just completed the installation of Wi-Fi on all their Boeing 737 and 717 aircraft. While this is a huge step forward in the customer experience, everyone has concerns. Wi-Fi users may worry about their privacy and the wandering eyes in the adjacent seats. Sleepy fliers may worry about multimedia interruptions from the person sitting behind them. Flight attendants worry they will be expected to provide technical assistance to befuddled technophobes.

As a result, AirTran designed an information card that will appear in every seatback pocket. It introduces passengers to inflight internetiquette, and it does so in a comedic but true fashion. Lucky for us, there is a digital version on the AirTran website.

For example, Tip #134 advises users, "The lavatory is not your personal conference room." Or Tip #12 which advises passengers it is not okay to launch inflight Wi-Fi just because you don't want to make friends with the person sitting next to you.

Even better than their witty recommendations, AirTran produced a series of videos starring Peter Graves, best known as Captain Oveur from the Airplane! movies.

Check out the AirTran Internetiquette Guide and the Peter Graves videos at AirTran.com
