The Labor Day weekend is coming.  Are you planning something fun and relaxing for the weekend? You should - you work hard!

Next Week in Business:

  • SCORE is offering a "Starting a New Business" all-day workshop on Wednesday, September 3.  The cost is $85, and you can get more details here.
  • Working with Power's monthly Power Lunch at the Columbia Tower Club is about The Guilt-Free Working Mom.  These are working lunches, not networking events, and they come highly recommended.  More info here.
  • Seattle Webgrrls is hosting a meet and greet on Thursday, September 4 from 6:30-8:30.  This is an online and offline business networking group for women.  For more details, visit their website.
  • Jennie Shortridge, local author of Love and Biology in the Center of the Universe, will be the featured speaker at eWomen Network's Seattle luncheon on Friday, September 5. She will be talking about the perils of perfection.  I met Jennie last week and she is terrific - so is the book for that matter (and I"m not just saying that because I live in the Center of the Universe).  Registration info is here.
