Are you one of the many woman-owned businesses that offer classes, workshops or retreats?  Are you still hosting them in some boring conference room or meeting space?

Sharon Emerson, aka The Travel Teacher, is a veteran cruise and tour planner based in Seattle.  She informs me that every September/October the cruise ship Celebrity Mercury docks here and provides a series of short 3-4 day cruises to Victoria and Nanaimo for a really great rate.

Since I'm not a regular "cruiser" I was not aware that there are facilities for meetings on board these ships.  What better way to teach one of your seminars than to combine it with a mini-vacation?

Sharon recommends that you teach your seminars during the sailing days in 2-3 sessions and then allow your guests to vacation freely for the rest of the trip.

Of course you can fill up the ship if you want, but those of us with more modest customer databases can have a group as small as 16 and make it profitable.

For more information on how you can host your next seminar on board a cruise ship, contact Sharon at Cruise and Tour Planners

And please let me know if you host a "floating seminar" - who doesn't love a meeting with a view?
