Like thousands of others, I read Postsecret.com regularly on Sunday mornings.  Today I stumbled across this one:

postsecret.com

Drivers, please do not let this be your secret.  Nowhere--church, a grocery store, the prom, the dentist--is important enough to risk someone's life.   Cyclists have a right to the road as well.  They could be on their way to church themselves.

You want to know my secret?  Every day, when I get on my bike, I must assume that every driver is out to get me.  That every person behind the wheel is grinding their teeth and will stop at nothing to blaze past me.  Not even a flesh and blood human who is just trying to get home after a long day.  It is frightening and alienating, and evidence like this does not help one iota.

Please have patience and a heart on the road.
