Party plans are set, now for the spooky wines choices:

Vampire Wines-  Complete with scary vampire label, Vampire wines ring it at generally around or under $10. a bottle.  You can find Merlot (soft, medium bodied, juicy fruit), Cabernet Sauvignon (medium to full bodied, high tannin, berry, tobacco), Pinot Noir (a little earthy, ripe plum, sweet berry), Merlot Rose (mineral, light, citrus-fruit), Zinfandel (rich, dark, medium tannins), and Syrah/Shiraz (rich and round, medium to full bodied, licorice, blackberry).  These are just the reds, the color choice for the holiday. Think drippy blood...

Egri Bikaver ("Bull's Blood")- Hungary's number one wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, also with Hungarian grapes Kekfrankos and Kadarka.  A full bodied red with deep berry flavors. Robust, with cherry and cloves aromas and on the palate.  Comes in at well under $10.00 a bottle.

Bonny Doon Pure Riesling (Riesling Asylum)- The only white on my list for today, this pure Riesling is dry, this wine has depth and character, with flavors of peach, apricot, and citrus.

Eye of the Toad Pinot Noir Dry Rose- As a real rose should be, light but not overly sweet.  Strawberry red in the glass and on the palate.  Another wine coming in at around $10.00 a bottle.

Dust off the cape and witch's hat, dig out the skeletons and masks, bring on the Halloween-inspired wines!
