Bigger, better faster, more! Antiques dealers, auction sellers and anyone in any kind of business is always looking for ways to become more efficient. Those who constantly crave better online tools should be ecstatic about the following news.

Google just announced development of a new operating system to challenge Microsoft's domination of the OS sector.

The OS comes on the tail of the Chrome browser which has not gotten a lot of market share yet in the Internet browser sector. Why that is, I'm not quite sure.

The Chrome browser is extemely fast and easy to use, albeit, it's not what you'd call loaded.

Nonetheless, Google thinks it has a winner with the Chrome OS, which will run through the Chrome browser.

It plans to release  the system in the 2nd half of 2010.

If the Chrome OS works even moderately well, it could put a significant dent in the Microsoft OS market share, as there are a lot of unhappy Vista users out there, and I'm sure Google's OS will be free.

Another very likely effect the Chrome OS will have would be to bring the price of desktops, laptops and netbooks down considerably if users are willing to purchase them without Windows operating systems. This would be sure to endear new OS to users.

When two heavyweights battle it out for market share, it creates many exciting scenarios.

Anyway you cut it, this should be a very good thing for computer users.
