iTaggit.com is one of those tools you almost want to keep a secret in order to stay ahead of the competition. Amost, but since my job here at the Examiner is to inform you on great things in the antiques & auction world, I have to let you fill you in on iTaggit.

If you buy, sell or trade collectibles, and use pictures to do so, then you'll benefit big from using this site.

I first found iTaggit through my Facebook acount, and thought I should give it a look. (It was the one of the very first  3rd party FB apps) Wow, what a powerfull tool!

The thing I really love about iTaggit.com, is that it is not a slave to any one particular selling platform. No matter where you sell, you can use this great tool if you can insert simple HTML.

I get a lot of use out of the the iTaggit blog area, where I  post when I feel I have something relevant to say to it's large community.

Here are some of the most important tools and features iTaggit offers:

  •   Create a private or public searchable inventory
  •    Include background information and history
  •    Upload related photos and videos
  •    Securely store documents such as receipts and manuals
  •    Attach links to additional information
  •    Find historic selling prices on eBay
  •    Submit items for low-cost certified appraisals
  •    Ask experts and other community members what they think
  •    Use iTaggit research tools to dig deeper
  •    List your items on iTaggit's classifieds section
  •    Turn your inventory into an eBay listing in one click
  •    Upload information to any HTML enabled marketplace, such as Craigslist
  •    Connect with people just like you, not to mention bona fide experts
  •    Blog about your treasures, or read about someone else's
  •    Discover links to helpful products and services
  •    Get the most up to date news about your items

You may imagine that a site this deep and powerful would have a lot more to it, and you'd be right. I'm happy to say, that Amanda McGuckin Hager, the  Director of Marketing for iTaggit will be a guest on ep 70 of The AuctionWally Show, to listen to that go to: http://www.talkshoe.com/tc/25106
