Frog Tape eliminates bleed under painting tape
If you have ever used that blue painter's tape to tape off your edges or create stripes and then been frustrated that the paint still bleeds under the tape edge, your prayers have been answered! Enter Frog Tape. It appears to be the answer to the issue.
How Does It Work?
Frog Tape has PaintBlock Technology, a sodium-based Superabsorbent Polymer used in every day items, such as baby diapers.
When latex paint hits the tape, the reaction swells the edges of the tape to form a barrier between the tape and the paint. Pretty cool eh?

Painting on Textures
It's a little trickier if you are painting on textures. You have to make sure the tape is completely pressed down. Check out the How-to page to learn how to make Frog Tape work for you on textures.
Frog Tape also eliminates the need to use the clear sealant method I learned on the HGTV, which requires another step after taping, painting a clear sealant over the blue painter's tape edge to seal off the tape and eliminate the bleed under issue before painting your color.
Sounds pretty good...save time, money and yourself from the frustration of bleed under. We really could have used this tape for a project a month ago. I discovered Frog Tape the week after we could have used it. Go figure, right?
