Sweet Lily Organic Salon in Ballard

For the past few months, I have been reviewing the service and products at Sweet Lily Organic Salon in Ballard. 

After cuts by both well-experienced stylists, Owner Erin Riordan and teammate Scott Tomlinson, of my somewhat challenging wavy hair, 2 doses of beautiful red ORGANIC hair colorings by Erin, and their patience in dealing with my picky sense of style, I have to say I am delightfully pleased!  Not only are they both great stylists who use only organic hair and cleaning products, they both know how to cut curly hair, which for those of us with such, understand that it isn't always easy to find someone who specializes in it.

Organic hair color
Let's talk about their organic hair color.  I have had salon color in the past and over time, even the high quality products made my hair dry with repeat applications.  Eventually, I switched back to using henna on my own, which is a pain to do, however, my hair always feels lovely, I get a nice bright red and, it doens't fry my hair over time.  Enter organic hair color at Sweet Lily...my hair is soft and I'm NOT even using conditioner!  To top it off, my hair color is the bright and beautiful red I love so much, it's organic and I didn't even have to do it myself! 

The environment
Sweet Lily is a lovely, small boutique salon at the end of Ballard, near the Locks, with just Erin and Scott at the helm.  The environment is warm,  welcoming, and peaceful.  If you appreciate a quieter one-on-one salon experience, and value an organic product environment.  Their zen motto:
