Seattle is famous for a few things: grunge music, computer technology and the Space Needle, but nothing seems to reach people of all ages and cultures around the world quite like our coffee.
Seattle’s Original Coffee Crawl gives coffee fans an adventurous tasting of the city’s unique coffee flavorings. Besides the expected samplings of coffee from various cafes around Seattle, patrons get a colorful account of the city and how it came to be the "Capital of Coffee." Coffee Crawlers get a vibrant re-telling of coffee culture, facts and history as well as gossip and local history.
Coffee Crawls are for everyone, not just coffee lovers. They make great outings for new travelers to Seattle and also make a fun outing for locals who want to learn a new aspect of their city. The tours work well for special events such as birthdays or even Father’s Day.
Running rain or shine, the tours of 15 participants depart at 10am from Seattle’s Best Coffee in Post Alley at Pike Place Market. Since coffee is the theme, participants must be 13 years or older. The tours take place Friday through Tuesday and take about 2 hours with an approximate walking distance of 1.6 miles, so wear some comfortable shoes. Advanced reservations are recommended and tickets are $20, though walkups on the day of the tour may be accepted at a price of $24 in cash.
Join Seattle’s Original Coffee Crawl for a java experience unlike any other. Become a coffee connoisseur, an espresso aficionado or just someone who likes lattes. Either way, with summer coming it’s bound to be a bright, sunny morning filled with the best coffee Seattle has to offer.
