How Maria Krull, 46, was even conscious is in itself baffling. Krull was arrested and charged Tuesday with driving while more than five times the legal limit of alcohol was in her system.
The worst part? Krull's 5-year-old granddaughter was in the vehicle with her at the time of her arrest.
Krull was stopped for speeding and display of improper license places at 4:10 P.M. in the 100 block of West Third Street in Cincinnati, Tuesday. When given a BAC test, the grandmother blew a .415. The legal limit in Ohio: .08. It is estimated that Krull needed to consume more than 12 drinks in a short period of time to have a BAC of .415. That level of intoxication can often lead to a coma or even death due to repiratory arrest.
Krull is no stranger to these types of charges. She appeared in court in September for yet another drunken driving charge in Cincinnati.
As was reported here earlier this week, this is the second recent shockingly high OVI arrest in Cincinnati. A Princeton teacher was arrested over the weekend when police say her blood alcohol level was more then four times the legal limit while she was behind the wheel. Anna McBride, 26, was arrested Saturday after she reportedly blew a .357, well over the Ohio legal limit of .08
