Cheap entertainment: anagram fun with words...or humor wants a dwarfing

Having fun with anagrams.
During these tough economic times, we need to find inexpensive ways to entertain ourselves. My wife has taken to playing some of the mind boggling number of online games, and I have stepped up my adult content web site research project.
Of course finding entertainment online isn't free (you need to have internet access and a computer), and some online game sites (and some adult sites too, I'm told) charge you to play. Pun intended.
There are, however, lots of fun things to do online which won't cost you additional money.
One of my all time favorites is finding and creating anagrams. I love words, and anagrams can be one of the most fun and challenging word activities out there. For those of you who don't know (or don't remember), an anagram is the rearranging of letters from a word or phrase by using each and every letter only once to create a completely different word or phrase. Some classic examples: "Mother-in-law" equals "Woman Hitler," "Dormitory" equals "Dirty room." You get the idea.
My name, Gary Thison, lends itself to a number of anagrams: "rainy ghost", "grainy host", "no gay shirt" and my favorite "hasty groin." A number of years ago I belonged to an online anagram newsgroup and one of the members pointed out an anagram for my name that I had neglected to notice: "in short, gay." Harrumph!
At that time there were a number of free online anagram generators. All you had to do was type in your word or phrase and the generator would automatically give you every possible combination of anagrams possible. Often there were hundreds, especially for sentences. Someone actually went through the trouble of creating a clever anagram for the first part of Hamlet's "To be or not to be.." soliloquy. Some of these engines can still be found, but most give you limited access and want you to pay to download the full version. Sometimes it's more fun to do it on paper anyway (or in Word).
So, rather than go out and spend money, you can just stay at home and look for a "perennial poncho" (anagram for "cheap online porn").
