When you are needing that extra boost of energy and you're stomach is grumbling, where can you go to make a one-stop-shop for coffee and food?  The Classic Bean of course!  The Classic Bean, founded in 1993, is located at 2125 SW Fairlawn Plaza Drive, or downtown at 722 South Kansas Avenue.  The Classic Bean offers a wide variety of drinks, foods, snacks, and sweets, as well as a myriad of events and artists to keep your senses satisfied.

The Classic Bean offers breakfast any day of the week.  Some of the sandwiches that The Classic Bean, often referred to as "The Bean", offers include but are not limited to:

• The Breakfast Sandwich which is served with egg but leaves the other options up to you as to what you would like on it. 

                 The choices of meats include: turkey, ham, sausage or bacon

                 Your choice of breads including: tomato, wheat or garlic tortilla

                 With a choice of cheeses that include: Cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack, Provolone, Swiss or                   American

• Cheese Blintz
• Blueberry Filled Pancakes

Just to give you a glimpse, some lunch and dinner options served at The Classic Bean include but are not limited to:

• The Maestro: "Prime Roast Beef, sliced and layered thick with melted Swiss cheese on a warm hogie, served with a stout beef Au Jus dip.  Includes pasta salad." 

              - Half Sandwich "3.95"    - Whole Sandwich "6.39"

• Bach, Bach (Johann): "Tender chicken tossed with mayonnaise, celery and walnuts on multi-grain bread, topped with Monterey Jack cheese and lettuce.  Includes pasta salad"

             - Half Sandwich "3.95"    - Whole Sandwich "6.39"

You can pair any of these sandwiches with a soup or salad or take advantage of the "half sandwich and cup of soup or chili deal" for "$6.39".  However, some sandwiches are excluded from this deal such as the Beethoven, Baroque, and the Ground Beef Patty sandwiches.

The Classic Bean, of course, offers a selection of coffees (and syrups to go in them!), as well as tasty other treats to go with those delicious drinks.  Maybe you're in the mood for a Cafe Latte, or a Mocha Latte.  They've got it!  The Classic Bean also has Thai Coffee which is "espresso, house coffee and sweetened condensed milk" as well as the Cafe Breve which is "a latte made with steamed Half and Half, rich and heavenly".  These are just a few of the drinks you can enjoy at The Bean.  Try adding a syrup such as Caramel, English Toffee, Irish Cream or French Vanilla for a  little pizazz!  Or maybe try a chocolate chip scone or a brownie on the side to compliment the boldness of your cup of black coffee.
