Tesla Motors preparing IPO

Sources tell of Tesla Motors planning on offering an IPO soon. Although no time frame has been set, they say that it is expected "any day".
Ricardo Reyes, Tesla spokesman, declined commenting although he had initially called the news speculative.
If Tesla pushes through with their IPO, it would be the first public offering from an American automaker since Ford Motor Company's shares debut in 1956. Tesla Motors' own Elon Musk indicated last year that an IPO would be possible in late 2009.
