Queen of British burlesque, Immodesty Blaize, announced her new movie, Burlesque Undressed will be hitting the big screen in January: The documentary will feature a mix of live footage, interviews with burlesque stars both past and present, and a behind-the scenes glimpse into the life of one of burlesque’s most glamorous vamps.
Gentry Lane featured in New York Times: California-born dancer and longtime Paris resident Gentry Lane received a glowing write up in the New York Times’ “Globespotters” section. The entry spotlighted Lane’s growing prominence as a producer of “ambitious and authentic” burlesque reviews in the City of Light.
Eric Dane joins the cast of the movie Burlesque: One of the stars of the small-screen medical drama, Grey's Anatomy, Eric Dane has joined the cast of the 2010-release musical Burlesque, starring Christina Aguilera and Cher. Dane will play the role of a businessman who vies for Aguilera's affections.
Dita Von Teese, acknowledges she may be “too risqué” for American audience: In a lengthy interview for The Daily Beast website (conducted by respected sex writer and cupcake advocate Rachel Kramer Bussel) Von Teese discussed her temporary move to Paris, newly-released Dita: Stripteese photography flipbooks, her relationship with the microblogging site twitter.com, and her possible cookbook (!) in the works.
