Do you know how clean your water really is?

When moving to a green lifestyle, one of the first things we often do is drink more water and less bottled products. Buying a fabulous stainless steel container and filling it from your tap, seems like you are doing all the right things, right? Hold on. Have you tested your tap water lately? Unless you are drinking water from a packaged product that you trust, you may be drinking more than you think.

It is important for all of us to periodically test our tap water for contaminants. Here is a thought provoking blog about water and just how clean it might NOT be. I have to add that not only do we who live in the country have to have our water tested on a  yearly basis, but anyone drinking municipal water should be concerned as well. It takes only a minute to do the test and you will have a non-bias result back within a week.  To find out where you need to get your water tested, go to a water testing site and get all the info you need.

Remember, much of what you don't want to drink, has no odor or color. Just because you water tastes clear, or  your municipal water tastes like a swimming pool, it doesn't mean that it is safe to drink. Get it tested!
