So with Memorial Day approaching, you know that summer is officially here. So where does a “Beauty on a Budget” shop for her new cute swimsuit? Target! 
 
Target has lots of styles to choose from that are far cheaper than traditional department stores, yet more stylish than other discounters. Despite some arguments that designer versions are of better quality and will last longer, be honest with yourself…aren’t you just going to buy another cute swimsuit next year? Why spend over $120 on one bathing suit when you can buy three sets at Target for less than that? 
 

 
And if you are thinking designer names will make you look better on the beach… think again.  A Burberry swim suit (up to $275) may not necessarily be the most flattering.  And even for that much money, it certainly WON'T make you look 20 pounds lighter.  The most important factor on choosing a swimsuit is finding the best design that flatters your body.

I happen to prefer to buy string bikinis that you can tie.  Contrary to popular belief, string bikinis are the most flattering because you can adjust the tie for a better fit.  If you are smaller up top and larger at the bottom (or vice versa) buying separates are the best.  That way you can mix-match sizes and colors to meet your needs.

But if your perfect fitting swimsuit happens to be a more expensive designer version, go ahead and splurge (you stylish chica, you :-)   ...but don’t forget to pick up a few cute separates from Target to switch it up ;-)
