Beauty Home Remedy of the Week: Strawberry Facials

Besides being delicious, strawberries can be used as a gentle exfoliate due to their natural fruit acids.

Since organic beauty products are typically associated with higher prices, this is a good tip for any “Beauty on a Budget” opting for more organic options. Below are some delicious recipes for your skin:

Organic Facial Scrub: Mix strawberry pulp, ground organic brown rice and whole-fat cream. Rub it on clean skin in an upward circular motion, avoiding the eye area. Rinse clean with lukewarm water

Strawberries and Cream Mask: Mix strawberry puree, organic honey and fresh heavy cream. Apply to clean skin for about 10 minutes, avoiding the eye area. Rinse clean

Strawberry Foot Scrub: Mix Strawberry, Olive Oil and Kosher Salt. Gently massage onto clean feet and rinse clean.

TIP: Because homemade beauty products are made without preservatives, they have short shelf lives. Put any unused portion in the refrigerator for no more than a couple of days.
