Save on Shampoo - Splurge on Conditioner

So I was strolling through the store yesterday and took a glance at the shampoo aisle. There are so many shampoos that promise the moon. Ones that promise the give you volume, boost your hair color, give you curly hair, give you straight hair, make your hair shiny and so on.

But can a shampoo really do all of that for you? I mean really, a shampoo is just supposed to just clean your hair.   You wash it out and then apply another product (conditioner) on anyway. And what about those higher priced salon names? Nexxus, Aveda, Redkin, Biolge…

So is it worth buying those higher priced brands if you’re on a budget? Yes and No.

If you have color/chemical treated or dry hair:

Save your money on the shampoo and Splurge on a good conditioner. The conditioner is what gives you a more of a lasting benefit, especially you have dry hair. Nexxus Humectress is a wonderful conditioner for dry hair. You can wash it out or use it as a leave-in. Conditioner can also help with damaged hair. Although once your hair is damaged or split, the only way to fix it is to trim it off. Be wary about products that promise to repair split ends or hair damage.  Don’t look for a miracle in a bottle.

If you have normal hair:

Save your money on both! Herbal Essence, Pantene Pro-V, Dove or even Suave will work just fine.
