J.P. Samuelson

If there is evidence of karma in the universe...this must be it. J.P. Samuelson will be returning to his the space of his eponymous bistro very soon. A lot sooner than he ever thought after it closed about a year and a half ago. J.P.'s American Bistro suffered two years of road construction right in front of his door that ultimately spelled the death knell. This feeding the public thing is tough enough without an extended interruption in the flow of traffic past your door. That, plus a particularly unfriendly lease was just too much for the talented Chef to handle.

The latest scuttlebutt is that J.P. has joined forces with this years's restaurant opening juggernaut Josh Thoma (when will this man stop?) and real estate scion Ryan Burnet to move back into his old digs on Lyndale avenue. No word yet on the concept, but the hope is the menu will be only updated and that many of the fan favorites will still be in play.
